Opinion

From the desk of the USG President Sara Garfinkle

The 35th Legislature has been working hard in order to ensure that the students at Buffalo State are getting the best representation. So far this semester, various administrators have come to our Tuesday night Senate meetings in Bulger North. We have had conversations with administration on various issues such as: enrollment, campus safety, construction, parking, food service, advisement, and financial aid, to name a few. All students are encouraged to attend our weekly Tuesday night Senate meetings at 8:45PM in Bulger Communication North, or stop by the USG office in Campbell Student Union 402 to voice your opinion.

We have also been working on Bengal Connect which is a website where students can find out how to get involved in various events and organizations on campus. This is a fantastic site and we encourage all of you to go to www.bengalconnect.com and check it out.

I would also like to take this time to introduce some new members of the USG Executive Board:

Senator Pro-Tem: Sierra Rogers

AVP for Communications: Kadejah Henderson

AVP for Community Affairs: Muhammed Sumbundu

AVP for Student Life: Wilherne Benjamin

Rules and Regulations Chair: Shannon Campbell

Secretary: Catherine Robinson

I look forward to seeing everyone at homecoming as we show our school spirit and cheer on our sports teams. LET’S GO BENGALS!!!
