Raccoon Fighter and Joywave play free show in Union

Despite an unimpressive student turnout, band members of Raccoon Fighter and Joywave were able to keep up their enthusiasm for the short sets they played Friday night in the Campbell Student Union. Their energy radiated from under the warm-colored lights and their sounds bounced off the walls in the essentially empty social hall. The music styles of the two bands complemented one another well, with Raccoon Fighter’s throaty vocals providing a satisfying contrast to Joywave’s mostly electronic feel.
