USG votes against eliminating BSC 101

Last Tuesday, The USG Senate voted not to support the Curriculum Committee’s recommendation to eliminate BSC 101 from the college curriculum.

This was two days before the College Senate was to vote on whether or not to support the motion, along with two other motions made by the Curriculum Committee.

According to the USG report, the vote was meant to assist the College Senate, as a representative of the student body, in making it’s decision.

Other recommendations included reducing the overall credits of Intellectual Foundation, and disbursing the writing across the curriculum requirement throughout the individual majors, both of which USG voted to support.
