The Opportunity

What Great Looks like in the Role

The Customer Care Team supports our social media inquiries for various units worldwide. Come work in fun environment where you get to resolve customer support needs with opportunity for growth within the company. This is a new department in our always growing portfolio


Monitoring of all Delaware North Affiliated social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram

Labeling/ Sorting all items that could relate or potential relate to any Delaware North operation

Escalating items that could be resolved in real time including, but not limited to; food quality, employee interaction, wait times, safety concerns, and sanitation issues brought to our attention vis social media

Keeping in contact with management at Delaware North properties in order to facilitate real time issue response and recovery.

Learning Objectives:

Learning and excelling at the use of social media management software such as Spreadfast/Khoros

Working in a Fast pace digital environment

Using different software clients, email management, and ability to quickly navigate in-house wiki network such as Confluence

Ability to handle high stress situations that arise due to our guest interactions


BS/BA: Social Media Marketing/Hospitality-preferred

Area of Study(s): Marketing and Digital Media

Social networking experience-Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram

Excellent consulting, writing, and communication skills

Summer internship dates typically span 10-14 weeks between: May 18th - August 26th, 2020. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience and make an impact in a global company.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Customer Support Position at the Amherst Contact Center.

We provide a fun, fast-paced and friendly environment for its interns, offering students real-world, real-work learning experiences. All Delaware North interns participate in the Delaware North Intern Experience which includes opportunities for career and leadership development, mentoring and coaching, and corporate intern training.

Corporate interns work at our global headquarters in Buffalo, N.Y., an iconic, 12-story glass-walled building in the vibrant hub of the new and historic heart of downtown Buffalo. The headquarters integrates the latest advances in environmental energy conservation and office design and features cutting-edge technology.
