United States of America - New York, Buffalo **Job Summary** AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated EHS Consulting Intern for employment in the Buffalo, NY office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: + Assist in preparing engineering related calculations, design drawings, specifications, and visual aids; + Assist with field work (e.g., groundwater and soil sampling, remediation system operations, site inspections); + Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories to assist in interpreting and analyzing data; + Review contractor submittals for adherence to technical specifications on construction projects; + Compare investigation findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to assess compliance, draft reports documenting results and presenting findings; and + Miscellaneous assignments on an as-needed basis. About Our Internships: + Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional. + Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study + Intern 1 - completion of first year of qualified study **Minimum Requirements** + AA/AS (US) + None or Diploma/Certification (Canada) + None + Valid U.S. State Driver's License + Ability to travel regionally **Preferred Qualifications** + Currently in pursuit of Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences or related field + Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software + OSHA HAZWOPER 40 Hour training strongly preferred + GIS and/or CAD skills + Regulatory research skills preferred + Strong written and verbal communication skill **What We Offer** When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
