One Family.PURPOSE STATEMENTThe Food Safety and Quality Assurance Intern will develop an understanding of Rich Products Corporation's Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory departments and programs through a structured development program. Interns also gain exposures to educate themselves on the overall Rich Products Corporation business and marketplace. The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Intern will provide support to the Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Regulatory Department through various projects and initiatives.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMESCandidates will concentrate most of their internship program in an office setting at our world headquarters office. Core competencies to be developed are an understanding of Rich Products Corporation Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs primarily supporting external suppliersAreas of exposure may include, but are not limited to:Compile and analyze data on food safety and quality metrics. Provide conclusions and reporting.Request and review food safety documentation from suppliers and contract manufacturers. Follow up by phone or email to request clarification or additional information.Participate in special projects as required.Regularly participate in team meetings.Review and compare raw material specifications for compliance to business needs.Perform administrative support as assigned.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCEEnrollment in an Associates, Bachelor's or graduate degree program at an accredited university pursuing a degree in food science, biology, chemistry, microbiology or related program.Strong quantitative/analytical skills to include interpretation of data, identifying trends, etc.Personal computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office programs and statistical softwareWork effectively in a team environmentExpress ideas and information in a clear and concise mannerThe ability to organize, prioritize and own multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlinesRich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), are committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity and will not discriminate against an applicant or employee on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, veteran or military status, genetic information, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status or any other legally recognized protected basis under federal, state, or local law.
