  • Generous Paid Time OffElderwood Administrative Services is seeking an Entry Level Medical Billing Specialist to join our growing team!ResponsibilitiesThis entry level Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for learning all of the steps and systems required to place a bill into the system for review and/ or payment.
    • Monthly Billing for assigned facilities.
    • Re-authorizations and LOA renewals for required Insurances.
    • Work with multiple county agencies to obtain reimbursement.
    • Check eligibility status on new admissions.
    • Submission of clinical information to state to receive authorization.
    • Cross-trained on all team tasks to ensure coverage.
    • Contact primary insurances each year to receive denial letters for submission with secondary insurances.
    • Utilize Point Click Care software.
    • Provide informative updates on the weekly department call for all open collection items that this position is responsible for.
    • Special projects as needed.Qualifications
      • High School diploma (or GED)
