The Health, Authenticity & Strategic Insights Intern position will provide a hands-on learning experience in a dynamic environment working with Richs Health & Authenticity marketing team (H&A) and Richs Research & Insights team (R&I) to drive strategic thought leadership, insight development and application and strategy execution for the US & Canada region. This role will provide exposure to market trend identification, analysis and application, data analysis, business strategy, brand strategy and innovation initiatives, in addition to leadership development in areas like project/team management, communication and governance.

*This is a remote internship


As a member of our small and fast-paced team, you will collaborate with team members from innovation, product business units, customer marketing, information systems, and other stakeholders. You will be helping us develop and execute Health and Wellness business strategies, as well as developing and applying market insights that will help create and market better products for the future

Strategic Insights

  • Support region strategic planning and inform business strategy through manipulating, summarizing, and analyzing data from syndicated and other sources and drawing insightful conclusions
  • Lead and support trend analysis, report development and delivery on key market mega-trends (including Health & Authenticity) to enable stakeholder awareness, understanding and to inform business strategy
  • Support development and management of information portals and databases to enable teams across Richs to better access and leverage research, insights and tools
  • Business Strategy & Execution

  • Support development and execution of Richs Health & Authenticity strategies including plant-based innovation planning and execution
  • Support development and execution of key innovation projects and initiatives across category business teams and breakthrough innovation
  • Support H&A Mergers and Acquisition strategy development through candidate assessment analysis and profiling
  • Support Training Execution with development and coordination of H&A, R&I and Branding training modules, materials and logistics
  • Governance/Communications

  • Execute KPI/metrics updates and financial analysis to provide awareness on progress against strategic objectives
  • Support key stakeholder and senior leadership governance updates to provide awareness and alignment on priorities and progress
  • Lead execution of assigned communication deliverables with vendor/agencies; Support H&A digital content strategy and execution
  • Support coordination of team and stakeholder meeting/sessions including logistics, attendee management, pre/post communications, etc

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in the Buffalo area and majoring in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Social Sciences, or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and be able to successfully handle several projects at once. Organizational skills are a must along with attention to detail.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, make recommendations and execute with limited information
  • Proven track record taking initiative and delivering results; Ability to drive results independently with limited direction and/or SME support
  • Possessing investigative curiosity - enjoys digging through unstructured data to find insights
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and independently; Able to work individually and be part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Strong presentation ability
  • Ability to lead and facilitate internal discussions as well as key customer interactions
  • Basic statistical understanding; Experience working with data both quantitative and qualitative
  • Strong PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
