Description

Fisher Associates, P.E., L.S., L.A., D.P.C., headquartered in Rochester NY, with eight offices throughout NY, PA & TX, is searching for an entry level Civil Engineer with 0 to 4 years of experience.

The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Work with a Senior Engineer on design on-going and new projects related to site design/layout and development for land development projects.

• Work with a Senior Engineer on design Erosion and Sedimentation Control and storm water control Best Management Practices (BMPs) for projects.

• Preparation of designs and exhibits in AutoCAD, and use of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office software.

• Work with a Senior Engineer to interpret local, state and federal regulations for projects and properly apply to design and environmental permitting activities.

• Perform deliverables, site visits and other basic tasks for the Land Development Sector

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include:

• 0 4 years experience

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering

• Intern Engineer certificate (IE, formerly EIT) or the ability to obtain one

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent technical writing skills and ability to effectively express his or herself orally among internal staff, clients, and sub-contractors

• Detail oriented and have the ability to work independently

• Computer skills including experience with MS Office Word/Excel, and AutoCAD
