Take a break from studying and have All You Can Laugh

With finals right around the corner, students get to enjoy a few laughs before they say
their final goodbyes to the Fall 2012 semester.

The All You Can Laugh Funffet, which takes place Saturday, is prepared to give students
the laughs they need to end their semester off right.

Produced by students from the television and film arts department, the event will consist
of a collection of comedy sketches like those seen on the infamous Saturday Night Live.

The show contains 11 different pieces and will include a number of pre-produced and live
sketches to be performed on stage in front of the audience.

As the semester long preparations conclude, members of the project said that they've
worked really hard to ensure that the event will be a success.

"I think that people will enjoy the material. We've worked really hard," said Matthew
Richmond, junior TFA major and PR manager for the show.

Richmond, who also took part in the production, said the department wanted to create a
show they felt the audience would enjoy.

"We really tried to come up with stuff our demographic will find funny, and I think it will
pay off," he said.

Although this is his first time working on this sort of event, Richmond said production
was fun and the audience would get a glimpse of that through the live sketches.

Sophomore theater major Emmy Wolfe, an actress in the show, said she felt the audience
should be excited about the program since a lot of hard work was put into it.

"I think the people who produced it did a pretty good job. The audience should be excited
to see the show," she said.

Wolfe, who previously starred in "The Walls Come Down - Truth!," will be in two of
the live sketches and one of the short films.

The sketches will cover a range of topics from fracking to border patrol. Wolfe described
them as "fun" and something the audience would enjoy.

The executive producer of the show, Michael Esposito, said the audience could anticipate
a tuned up theater performance similar to the prior "All You Can Laugh" events.

"Our biggest goal was to separate from what we've done in the past. We wanted to make
it unique, but keep the same structure," Esposito said.

Anticipating 100 or more people to attend, Esposito said this will be a show people won't
forget.

The event, in its third year, will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Donald Savage
Theater.

Show advisor Lou Rera said the show is part of an upper-division class TFA majors are
required to take.

The event is free and tickets can only be downloaded and printed online. All students are
encouraged to attended.

Those who are interested can visit the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/
AllYouCanLaughFunffet where they will be sent a confirmation email with the ticket
information included.

Their tickets must be printed out prior to attending the event in order to receive
admission.
