I do not recommend this class. I have a music background and this class confused me. He expects you to have perfect pitch just like him, and he doesn't explain things clearly at all. Doesn't reply to e-mails in a timely fasion-still waiting for a reply 5 days later.
Cuexam old guy you'll meet at Geneseo. Take his class if you want to get to know this hillarious guy.
Textbook is used inclass. He doesn't take attendance but he'll know if you're not there cause he learns everyone's names. hillarious in an old guy way. courses are easier for people with musical experience. Study and go to class and you'll do well. Quizes in the beginning but die out towards the end. Exams are not difficult. He's willing to help you.
Quality prof.. Great class for fine arts requirement. Teaches basic music theory, if you have any experience with music you will be golden. Beginners are given special attention (he loves them!), so don't worry. A few written exams, and a piano exam (basic). Gives the class kazoos which he makes you play sometimes for fun. Highly recommended.
friendlyst guy. The class is pretty simple if you have any music background. If not, he is still a pretty simple grader. Go to class, listen, and practice the performance things before the exam. Also, he is very willing to meet before or after class for anyone that wants extra help. I would definitely recommend Basic Musicanship with him! |
