prof. Behrend is a model educator. He has a deep understanding of and appreciation for the subject matter he teaches. The work is certainly difficult, but he goes above and beyond to assist his students, even if it means scheduling appointments outside his normal office hours. I cannot recommend him enough. |

Behrend is the great prof. i have ever had! I've taken three courses with him so far- HIST 221, 220 & 355. There is a lot of reading, but that's expected for history courses. He's super approachable and really friendly. Definitely take from him if you can! |

(Slave Resistance and Rebellion in the Atlantic World.) Such a terrific prof.--cannot speak highly enough of him. One of the great here. He's fascinating and engaging in class, and so understanding and accommodating outside of class. Also clearly enthusiastic about his subject matter. Take him if you can--you won't regret it. |
