Dr. Chen is outstanding and pretty simple. Homeworks are online tests that you can take until you get a 100, making them a big grade booster. There are weekly tests and 3 exams (and an optional final), but these usually aren't too bad if you go to class as she only exams you on what she covers. |

Exams are a big part of your grade. Has three mid year exams, and a final. Allows you to drop one exam grade, so final becomes optional if you do well on the first three exams. Class is challenging, but manageable if you go to class and read the textbook. Also has quite a few tests, allows you to drop two. Approachable/accommodating outside of lecture. |

courses are great and fascinating for the most part but her exams are really tricky. Too much emphasis on the exams, there like 70% of your grade. If your not great at taking exams then don't take this class with her. |

Chen is my fav econ prof so far!!! She tells jokes n likes to ask students questions. She can remember your name very quickly. if come to class unprepared, you'll be fine, b/c she clarifies everything in class. She assigns an online quiz every week. She gives in class tests every Friday. Exams are not difficult, just go over your in class notes |

I love Chen! she is a great prof.. I took both econ 101 and 102 with her. Didn't have to take the final for 101 because my grade was high enough without it (drops lowest exam grade). If you go to class and look over her examples and the tests, the exams are not that bad. |
