honestly the worst teacher Ive ever had, and Im talking grammar school, high school, and college. Doesnt know anything about the essence of teaching. U mainly have to teach urself from the textbook, you take the exam, and her grading contradicts what the textbook says! I have a friend who is ridculous at spainsh (speaks fluently) and says a paper I
The worst teacher I've ever had. One of my friends who speaks fluently and spainish and knows the grammar to a T says a paper I got a D on shouldve been an A. I honestly felt that SUNY Geneseo robbed me of my tutition on this one. She takes of points on exams and doesnt give you a proper explanation to why she did. Textbook and grading dont matchup
Absolutely awful. I liked Spanish before I took her class. She's completely disorganized and sometimes just doesn't feel like showing up to office hours or class. disorganized and changes projects without warning. Also, I've taken a impartial bit of Spanish and she is wrong on some things! She can speak Spanish but doesn't deserve a job. STAY AWAY.
difficult class. Basically, you do bookwork the entire class. First you go over homework, then she will read the book to you. She does not explain very much, and often does not answer questions clearly. Be prepared to study a lot if you want the grade because you have to teach yourself. There are a lot of exams which is friendly.
Honestly a terrible teacher. She flies through the book but only reads the books explanations, and thats the few times that she even bothers to speak english. rough grader and exams are frequent and unnecessarily confusing. Class is composed of listing off homework answers, regurgitation of the book, and minor if lucky clarification. AVOID
i had her for 102 and 201, shes awful. doesnt make any sense doesnt know how to teach, has insane mood swings and is a general pain to deal with every day. you grade essentially depends on her mood. example: i had a 95 average in the class and she gave me an A- just so she was able to say that none of us got an A. DONT TAKE HER CLASS
Phonology is a frustrating class and she didnt help to make it any easier. She contradicted herself and was not very accommodating with answering questions. I would recommend avoiding her. She seems like a very friendly lady outside of class but is very frustrating as a prof..
317 is a phonology class, and she is unable to pronounce some of the phonames for which we are responsible. There is an attendance grade. The textbook she chose uses made-up symbols unrelated to IPA, essential teaching you something worthless. The textbook still explains the material better than she does. Avoid if at all possible. |
