Logic. Very intelligent woman. She goes quickly. Sort of seems like she lives in her own mind. Difficulty in class is strange; some topics are very simple and some are very difficult. Proofs are not as difficult as they look. She's very sweet and accomodating.
such a sweet teacher1 it takes a while to understand logic but once you do the course isnt bad just go to calss study do hw n youll do very well sit up front bc she talks low overall love her
She's the sweeexam old lady. Brought us Mallowmars and Fruit every Friday. Pretty much just talks the whole time and doesn't ask questions, friendly of dull, but she shows videos. Mostly went through Classical Philosophy and some later things towards the end. Really knowledgable, very accommodating, simple grader. Her Logic class is also great.
She's a very intelligent lady and often drops really hillarious jokes in class. She's friendly of a quiet talker, so sit near the front. It's tough because it's Logic, but she tries to give every opportunity for you to do well. Very impartial and gives extra credit for showing up on days when lots of people didn't. She also drops a bad homework grade. Thumbs up.
Very dull teacher that gives very difficult exams. Plan on taking on 2 weeks prior study time because there is so much information that studying the night before or even 3 nights before is impossible. friendly lady but very difficult class. She grades roughley. Not a class I would take if one had an actual life outside of class. I would not recommend!
Very monotonous. Just read the handouts she gives you, no need to really read the books. If people stop showing up for class, she will take attendance. Not my first choice, but not terrible overall. Went from a 73 on the first exam to a 93 on the second. papers can also be very accommodating to your grade.
Class was Philosophy of Love. The only grade we had was our papers. The lowest grade I ever saw was a B+. She is very flexible with due dates as well. I liked how she would always show clips of movies at the end of class. While her talking is sometimes monotonous, she is a very intelligent a fascinating teacher.
One of the worst courses I ever took at Geneseo. She is dull, the exams are very difficult and very long ( at least two hours) and she grades papers roughly. All of her paper topics require a significant amount of outside reading and research. Her courses consist of her standing up and speaking in a monotone for two hours, no discussion.
Took her for logic last semester and "Evidence" this semester. Today is the day before spring break, so she took my class (18 students) to breakfast at Micelli's on main street - her treat. And we got extra credit for showing up today! (She'll give you extra credit if you show up on, say, the Friday before a break or something like that). outstanding.
She went over the material so fast in class I could barely keep up with her. I went to every TA and study exam session and still ended up having to withdrawl from logic with a "D" on my mid year exam. friendly enough lady but her exams are imposssible and her teaching style is not suited for an "intro" level class. |
