dull. Not a difficult class if you read the textbook but coming to class is pointless since his powerpoints come right from the textbook company so you don't learn anything new. Asks a few random questions on exams but otherwise exams aren't too bad. Takes forever to put quiz grades on myCourses. A friendly prof. just very dull. |

Pathetic and dull, if it wasn't for prs I would never go to class because his powerpoints are useless even if you read the textbook before going to class. Stick to the textbook and mastering, and pray that you catch the little questions he'll ask on the exam. Worst teacher I've had so far. Cotaught with clinton(readsrightoffpowerpoint) and milllo |

Spear is a very friendly guy and is willing to help you with any issues/problems you may have. That said he is very dull-his powerpoints are terrible, prs questions are random, his voice is monotone, tests are ridiculously difficult, and he will succeed in putting you to sleep 5 min into class. Not the worst prof to get stuck with-read the textbook |

A very monotonous prof.. Very intelligent, accommodating and is willing to answer questions. Simon (a dual prof. class) makes this guy look like the great prof. in the world. |

Holy crow this guy is dull. You literally start drifting to sleep during class. He steals his powerpoints off a website online, thus proving his disinterest in the class. His exam questions are difficult. He's also really bad with computers and spends way too much time trying to figure out how to get the PRS system to work. |

Spear is the most monotonous and dull prof. I have had at Geneseo. He seems like a friendly guy, but he is so technology challenged he spends half of the courses trying to figure out how to use the computer. His powerpoints are always confusing, and he's very unapproachable during office hours. |
