In college, I chose to study Spanish because it is such a widely used, beautiful language. I have a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Luther College. I have a strong background in music which has helped me tune into the differences in the cultures and uses of the language around the world. Learning the Spanish language has helped me grow emotionally and intellectually, and I would love to share this growth with my students. I always personalize the lesson plans I create for the specific needs of each student. I believe in encouraging my students to become independent learners by using repetition and other methods of teaching. I believe in building the confidence of my students, so they feel confident in all areas of their studies. In my free time, I like playing in symphonies....
