Objective:
Under leadership of the manufacturing engineer, provide service and support to both internal and external customers, maintain records, participate in manufacturing development and validation processes, and perform other related work as assigned.Minimum Requirements:Working towards a degree in design, engineering, or technologyJunior or Senior candidates will be given preferenceJob Requirements:Mechanically inclined. Basic understanding of Electrical a plus.Must be able to read Engineering DrawingsCAD Experience; SolidWorks preferredPLC Programming or other computer language also a plus.Strong IS and PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to comprehend and execute work assignments with minimal follow up supervisionAbility to work independently or in a team settingObservant, attentive to detail, and quality consciousOrganized, self-motivated and task-drivenBasic math, reasoning, and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal skills. Flexible with work hoursEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide support to the manufacturing engineer team with the following tasks:
Work with Manufacturing Engineering in developing or modifying Manufacturing Processes; including but not limited to,
design/build/implementing
gauges, fixtures and tooling, creating/updating Bills of Material and Routers, as well as writing work instructions as needed.Update/Edit Eng. Dwgs and other product technical documentation as required by the NPD and ECN processUse troubleshooting skills to work with Production to resolve problematic processesAssist model shop personnel with build and/or repair of fixtures, gauges and toolingWork on engineering projects to assist in the development and refinement of other manufacturing projectsConduct research projects utilizing to assist in the development and of manufacturing projectsAssist in fabrication of prototypes as well as required testing and documentation.Develop and run reports that support the manufacturing processManage tooling inventory and database to keep tracking records and quality requirements currentGeneral data entry
