Huge techno concert coming to Falls
Music like techno, house and dubstep have taken over the music scene at Buffalo State College.
Al Polanski, a disc jockey and student at Buffalo State College said, "It is a shame that the bandwagon listeners don't know much about the culture and different styles of electronic music."
What better way to learn and enjoy this music than seeing these DJs showcasing the music they've created live?
That's why I think everyone should be part of a once-in-a-lifetime experience known as Dayglow.
Dayglow, known also as "Americas Largest Paint Party," started out in 2006 at Florida college campuses. Now a world-recognized concert tour, it's a one-of-a-kind event where you can go and enjoy your favorite DJs while being covered in neon paint. There are also live performers such as contortionists, stilt walkers and fire shows. Some featured DJs that have made appearances include Diplo, Starkillers, Oscar G and Laidback Luke.
I've been following this concert tour for a little over a year now and have wanted to go since I first heard of it. It has taken place in cities close to me, but I've never been able to trek out to one of the concert sites — until now.
Dayglow will be coming to the Niagara Falls Convention Center on Nov. 18 in Niagara Falls. For a world-renowned tour to come to a small city in Western New York after playing shows in Cancun and London is unbelievable.
As soon as I heard it was coming here, my friends and I almost immediately went online and bought our tickets, VIP of course. With VIP you get advanced admission, a 16-ounce bottle of paint, sunglasses, a Dayglow T-shit, Dayglow CD, a towel and an experience that will last a lifetime.
The event starts at 8 p.m. and goes until about 2 a.m.
Regular admission to the concert is $45 and a VIP ticket is $65. So for all of you who haven't heard of Dayglow or who haven't gotten your tickets yet, check it out online at dayglowtour.com and buy your tickets before it's too late.
