He is a intelligent man with a love of both knowledge and the law. He is also an extraordinary communicator. A lot of students, however, are made uncomfortable by his brutal honesty and no-nonsense attitude. This is not a prof. to take if you're not willing to do all of your work and demonstrate that knowledge in class. |

No respect for any human, acts as if he is paying great money to have slaves in the audience to ridicule and embarrass. Absolutely no faith in the education system he is a part of, though he will tell you that himself multiple times. Overall unhappy person who enjoys spreading his misery. Picks on particular students way more than others. Enjoy. |

You either like him or you dont like him. If you don't like him and you never contribute, he is going to become the bane of your existence. If you do like him and contribute and attempt to be a genuine student, he's the great prof. you will ever have. |

Very intellectually engaging and provocative but self-defeating. YOU'RE LESS LIKELY TO GET INTO LAW SCHOOL WITH A B GRADE IRREGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH YOU GET OUT OF THE CLASS. It's also somewhat hypocritical that he fell asleep while proctoring his own final. NOT VERY DILIGENT ON HIS PART. Don't be intimidated. STAND UP TO HIM AND ASSERT YOUR RIGHTS |

The meanest most sourest man in Geneseo. Tried dropping me from his class after missing 2 excused days with sickness, had to go to the dprtmnt head after he stopped calling my name in roll call for almost 2 weeks. 7 page single spaced paper graded without a single comment!Method is totally ineffective,have so many horror stories but so little space |

prof. Deutsch is easily the worst teacher in the SUNY system. Hen treats probably one out of 100 people he teaches with respect, and those are the students who like him. When I was at his office, he said "I don't think you are going to be able to handle the this exam!" A**HOLE Always kept us late. And his method of teaching isn't effective. |

It is a shame because he has such a great amount of knowledge and passion for the material he covers. He yelled at me for yawning silently at 9am AVOID THIS TEACHER. |
