I've had Jim for 6 or 7 courses... easily the most important prof. in my college career. Approachable, accommodating, fun and impartial while still stimulating and challenging. Definitely not an "simple" prof., but he really makes you learn. Recommended for any class he teaches and if you are looking for a mentor. |

I also studied really difficult for his exam for a failing grade. He asks about EVERYTHING that came up, even little things so pay attention to everything. I was failing the class before the two papers and final and pulled off a C...somehow. If your not a great exam taker..do not take this class with him. The papers saved me. |

His exams are RIDICULOUS! I studied for a week prior to this exam, and still did not pass. He makes it fascinating, yet the exams are just so difficult. Papers are not too difficult, hes not too difficult of a grader on them. |
