This class is very dull and difficult to concentrate on. This paired with difficult exams is not a great match. Study, study, study for exams! Go to class, he gives pop tests! Study for lab tests, there's one each week. He's a super friendly guy though, and pretty hot.
very dull, quizes and exams are unpredictable and cannot explain concepts. We had a "sub" prof. a day where prof. Laabs was not there, and I learned so much more from that one day then my whole semester with prof. Laabs.
I had him for Climate and Energy Change and found him very dull! But as long as you show up to lecture & go to lab, this class isn't impossible. His review sessions are very accommodating for the exam and he often repeats quiz questions on the exams so those are simple give aways.
As long as you show up to class and lab you will get a decent grade. Lecture is very dull. Everybody brings their laptops to stay awake. Attendance is worth 15% of your grade. He has pop tests but as long as you hand one in you get a 100. |
