Battle of the Orgs to take place next Thursday

Battle of the Orgs will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Nov. 29 in Moore Lounge.
The event is free to watch and attend to all Buffalo State students and no ticket is
necessary to enter.
"It's an open form event meaning people are free to come and watch and leave when
they want," said AVP of Student life Andrea Wright.
The event is made to be a friendly competition between participating organizations
on campus. Each team will take part in different tasks against the other teams.
Tasks will feature challenges involving academics, knowledge of Buffalo State,
physical skill and teamwork. Some challenges include puzzles, trivia, creating a
cheer and building a mascot.
Battle of the Orgs works as a team builder to unite each board with their fellow
organization members. It also allows the different organizations to socialize and
compete against each other. SAID WHO?
Naomi Feliz, secretary of Adelante Estudiantes Latinos, said this will be the
organization's first time participating.
"We're looking forward to it, " Feliz said. "I think it will construct a stronger, more
personal bond between the e board and the members that participate."
Attending the event to watch will also allow people to become familiar with some of
the organizations on campus that are available to join.
Victor Rivera, president of the National Society of Black Engineers, said that this is
the first time their organization will be participating as well.
There will be trophies for the winning teams.
Wright said she wants students to know that they will enjoy watching just as much
as the students participating.
"It's going to be a great time, nothing boring," Wright said.
Registration for organizations is closed. For questions, students can contact Student
Life by checking out their Bengal Connect page or calling 878-6701, extension 20.
