Pacheco is so outstanding! Lecture is never dull, and you can tell he really enjoys teaching. You have to study for exams but it's mostly just memorization and regurgitation than actually learning concepts. You have three opportunities to write one paper, and he grades pretty simple. All in all, simple class, great prof..
Seriously love this class, made me add Anthropology as minor. This is not an simple class. You're either gonna love it or dislike it. The exams are very specific, you MUST read the textbooks, especially the ethnography. He grades roughly on the papers, but you only required to do one. Take the class seriously. Do not slack, you will regret it. No curve.
I am very pleased with this class. It is cultural anthro and i simply picked to take the class as a random pick. Being a bio major, i really did not have any interest in anthro, but I actually really like the class and the teacher is clear in lecture and has great examples. Recommend him
Pancheo is an all around great guy. Great teacher, clear, focuses on large scale concepts. Take this class if you have an interest in evolution. If you do the reading and stud for the exams you will do great.
Dr. Pacheco is a great ( I mean it) prof.. This past semester I was in his Human Diversity course. He is a very hillarious, and exciting prof.. Meeting with him during his office hours is a way to learn more about him and his teaching technique. I love his course! I recommend everyone to take at least one course with Dr. Pacheco.
This class was very fascinating and Pacheco kept it very fun. He is pretty strict with grading, but you don't have that many graded projects anyway. If you show up, take notes and study for the exams, you'll be fine. He makes it really intriguing.
great class. He really knows how to talk to everyone in a large lecture hall. It's a little difficult, but do the reading, study, and go to the review sessions, and it's fine. You want to go to class to because you always cover a ton of material.
Pacho is a really great prof.. He knows his things ad he makes class very fun. You do have to go to class because you are examed on what he says not as much out of the book. Take him if you can for any Anthro class he is outstanding! |
