i had a bumpy start by sitting in the back, texting and not doing any hw. at this point i had a 62. Toward the end of the semester i attended office hours twice a week and her one-on-one sessions were great. not only did i pass my last two exams, but i bumped my average up from a D- to a C+. She's great!! |

She is the reason I get through my week! I have her two days a week T+R for 2 hours each! She is a ball of delightful energy and is always laughing! I don't think she can have a bad day! She will explain anything you need help on and is willing to spend as much 1:1 time with you as you need! She won't give you the answer but helps you! (A-) |

Hands down the great option for calc I. She gives great notes and does a friendly job explaining the equations and such. exams are very difficult and much difficulter than the material she teaches. Gives opportunities for extra credit. friendly lady, great prof. |

Terrible at explaining things and she made calc confusing and impossible. I'm not bad at math, but all she did was write equations on the board without explaining them and expected you to use them during the exam. And the exams are difficult. Don't get me wrong, she's a wonderful lady, but a terrible prof.. |

Barby-Stews is outstanding. She's a little kooky, but makes class fun. Probably the great prof. for Calc I. Calc in general isn't the easiet subject but she does pretty well. Also gives a a few great opportunities for extra credit. Take her if you can. |

Take her if you can! Explains everything so well and gives great examples. Grade is based completely on exams and tests, but tests are usually take home or group work. She also gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit, but it's not needed to do well. Doesn't collect homework but you need to complete it do keep up and do well. Take her! |
