He doesn't explain the topics clearly within class even if you pay attention. Pretty much you have to teach yourself the material in order to do well. He's very rude and will often stray from the topic in class. I think he is aware that he is not a great teacher bc he pretty much tells you to have a study buddy which is pretty accommodating.
Not a very great prof.. Techniques are outdated. He is very condescending and if you have an issue with anything it is great to figure it out yourself because he will refuse to help you. You must attend class because tests are given daily, although these could really help your grade. In general, he isnt a friendly man and it is great to avoid him.
I was really looking forward to this class; however, he was not pleasant whatsoever, and he's condescending in his courses. When I went to his office hours for help, he would explain something in 10 seconds really quicky and if you still didn't get it, he'd say "i don't understand why you don't get it". he's very rude and unwilling to help.
great teacher who explains what you need to know very thoroughly. Went over some topics slowly but at least it was almost impossible to be lost.
Although I went to every single class, I always left courses unclear about what concepts were imperative and which were not. The clicker tests are manageable if you have people to work with on them. The exams are very tough and consists of only 30 mtpl choice questions. I earned a B in the class, but this was only because of his curving methods.
Class isnt too bad, he could cut class time in half if he would spend last time on tangents and more time on the material. The lab is a big waste of time, not a single person involved in the business world that I have talked to has heard of Minitab. Without Minitab, this is basically the exact same class as MGMT 250.
You only need either to go to class or read the book. I'd suggest just reading the book because it would be quicker, but he uses the PRS clicker requiring you to attend every class. Goes on and on and on about things, unnecessarily long. Often says it isn't trivial, but it is. He just needs to say it once or twice and then move on.
You get "stranged" if you don't keep up with the work. Otherwise great prof..
Stang is a pretty great prof considering he's very willing to help if you ever ask. You need to come to class prepaid, otherwise you will get lost in class. He gives in class tests almost every class (PRS/clicker). Exams are a little bit difficult so you have to really study for it, but if you do put in efforts, you do get an A like I did!
His class is tough, but its not impossible. If you go to class and know the graphs like he constantly tells you to, you'll do fine. the highest grade I got on a exam was an 87 and I got and A in the class. He curves the grades, so talk to him so he knows who you are.
Strang is one of the worst prof.s. Expects you to know EVERYTHING about microeconomics. You will be doing yourself a huge favor if you take this class at a community college or with another prof. although he is one of the only economics prof.s. NOT AN simple A! Need to study a lot for each exam. He is not willing at all to help his studen |
